What to Expect on Your First Visit

We want you to feel comfortable when you come to Unity of Pompano for the first time.   We will provide a step by step description of what you will encounter when you arrive.

Once you have parked, come in the front door & someone will welcome you.

If you bring children to the 11 am service, the greeter will direct you to the classroom where children are signed into Sunday School.  If you prefer to keep your children with you, your children are welcome to stay with you during the service.

At the beginning of the service, the minister will ask if there are any newcomers and (if you’re comfortable doing so) to raise a hand so that ushers may deliver a welcome brochure with information about the Unity movement and Unity of Pompano.

Our Sunday services are best summed up as a celebration service.  It consists of “music, meditation, and message.”  We always have professional musicians and our music is inspiring, enlivening, and uplifting. Our Director of Music invites guest performers & soloists.  The music is an important, integral part of the experience of the Sunday Celebration Service.   The congregation is sometimes invited to sing with the band.  There will be lyrics projected on a screen to assist you in singing along with the musicians. A guided meditation will last 5-10 minutes, followed by a solo by a guest performer and then the minister’s main message.

You can listen to a recent message or two from our archive of podcasts. Also, you can watch a video of a previous service on our Sunday Streams archive.

We invite you to join us after the service for coffee and light refreshments in Fellowship Hall. Here you'll have a chance to meet others.  We always have a large gathering and lively conversation.  All are welcome.
